Eureka!

It fits now. It actually fits. I haven't fit into it since we lived in this house. Not since we lived in this state, to be honest with you.

My kids didn't think I could do it. They doubted I would stick to my plan to make it happen. Hubs is my rock. Without him, it wouldn't have happened.

It hasn't fit since we lived in Arizona which is more that 5 years. I was sure that this day would never come. But come it did.

On Saturday afternoon I was finally able to fit into my garage, while sitting in my car.

You see, for years and years we have only used our garage as a storage unit in which to store Christmas decorations, camping equipment that we rarely use,  food storage...just in case, boxes and boxes and boxes of clothes to hand down. We found toys that were supposed to be donated years  months ago, clothes that I was saving for the return of Skinny Me. She's not coming back anytime soon....I miss her.

We found my Christmas wrapping paper obsession, books that are worth keeping, books that weren't worth keeping. Every I.D. card that Hubs has ever owned. Socks.

I found pictures. Oh, I was so happy to find them. Pictures from high school. Pictures from college. Pictures from my mission...yay! from my mission. Pictures from my engagement and wedding. Pictures of my kids. Pictures of my life!!

We found junk that my kids labeled treasure. Treasures that have become junk. We found it all.

But best of all, after six hours of hard labor, we found our garage. And yes, we can actually park one of our cars in it. My kids are so excited. I am so excited. We are all so excited.

We are easily amused.

It fits!!!

What a great feeling! My husband cleared out the garage to fit two cars. My car fit, but his was left out cold. It looks wonderful now!

You had me going. I was sure you were talking about a pair of jeans or something.

But I know this feeling well. When we moved out of my house last year, that I had lived in for over 13 years, I found things I didn't even remember owning!

I think we are the only people on our street who have a clean garage that actually holds our cars. This was an excellent "E" post!!

This really made me laugh. One time when my husband was out of town, I cleaned a bunch of junk out of the garage so I could fit my truck in.

It was one of the high points of my life!

It appears we have very similar values...

You can be very proud of that. :)

I think you need to celebrate with a cake...or maybe a big bag of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

Oh, yeah...

I have four feet of loam pile separating me from parking in the garage.

I am weird. My garage is a 1 1/2 car garage with the kids bikes, a lawn mower and some shelves with a workbench. That's it.

Four feet of dirt pile.

And if it ever stops raining, that dirt pile will be history. :)

Gosh, I would love to be able to fit in our garage. We would no longer have to grumble about birdies pooping on the car. Congrats to you!

We just got our car back in the garage too after a couple months of me using it as a paint studio. Our garage is usually storage too, but in this house we have an attic (yay!) so we can put a car in the garage!

Doesn't it feel great?!

Hurray! I love it when there's a good cleanout and you discover all the empty space you have to actually use! Must feel incredible, huh? Hope it stays cleared out!

Congratulations! That is a much better accomplishment than getting into a pair of old jeans!

Love your enthusiastic and excellent link to the letter "E".

You always make me smile!

A+
