Nobody nose!!

Yes, as many of you have commented, I have a strange talent of being able to suck my nostrils in for an extended amount of time. It scares my children a little.

What you don't know is that my nostrils can also become extremely large.

Hubs knows this.

Apparently when I am pregnant, along with my belly, my nose size doubles, adding to my physical attractiveness. As you can imagine, doubling the size of my nose increases air flow speed significantly. Enough so that is wakes my hibernating husband from deep, deep sleep.

When I am pregnant, I am not "allowed" to face him. Smack! "Then don't get me preggo, crazy!" or something like that.

I guess Lees are born with special brain capacity that allow us to spread our nasal openings to the size of a large man's thumb. (Not that a large man has ever put his thumb in my nose, but I have seen one put his own thumb in his own nose and holy cow that was disturbing!)

I have extra special abilities to open and close said nostrils repeatedly without pinching them. Much more impressive.

What can I say, I'm the girl that NOSE!

(sorry if this post is a little incoherent. I am out the door, headed to the airport! Whoot!!!)

It's a balance thing.

It's all about balance.

Without him....I'm out of balance.

I am a bit crazy. He is calm.

Balance.

He can't handle the chaos. I was born in the middle of it.

Balance.

He gives a little. I give a little.

Balance.

I miss him. I miss them. I am stuck here working....

...off balance.

He misses me. They miss me. He is exhausted from doing it alone....

...off balance.

Tuesday evening I fly to see them. Him!!

BALANCE!!

Until then, walk around me carefully...

...I'm off balance.

Didn't have a clue

He had it and I didn't even know it.

Hand Foot and Mouth Disease.

It was more like Mild Fever, Cold Sore, Peeling Skin Disease.

The first night he came in with a slight fever. I drugged him up, made him the bed on the floor of my room, and sleep he did. We watched him. He was a little grouchy...that's not abnormal for him...so we kept him on meds for a day or two, but then he seemed okay.

Then a few days later, his lips started to look chapped. Out came the chapstick. Only the chapping seemed to turn into cold sore looking things. But that is a normal thing here. We live in a high desert. Chapped lips are part of the deal. They lasted about a week.

I was showing my sister-in-law his cold sores and she said maybe it was Hand Foot and Mouth Disease.

Inconcievable!

But then a few days later I see him pulling at something on his foot. Sure enough...there is skin peeling off his foot. Toes. Heels. How did I miss this? I mean, hello!!

Yup. He had it, alright.

And I didn't even know.

Because I'm still overwhelmed...

...I'm still posting pictures.

...and because I miss them terribly.

Just walk away...

There are two things I'm good at growing. One is children. The other is flowers.

Both take time. Both take patience. Both need weeding and nurturing. And work at these things I have.

My kids are great! My flowers were wonderful!!

Then we moved away.

I went back to the old house to get my rose bushes. Yeah, the ones I got for Mothers Day last year and wasn't able to plant them yet so they are still in pots. Those ones.

When I got there I was a little excited to see my flowers. This is what I saw...

One week, people. One week.

Should I be worried about my kids?

Dropping a line...or two.

Boy, I haven't been on here for a while. Moving is a pain...buying a house is a pain. Doing both at the same time...yeah, well... you get the picture.

My blogging mojo....must be packed in some box...in my storage unit. Don't worry....I think I know where it is...I just need to find the time to pull it out.

This week I have been spending a lot of time with my oldest. He is so wonderful! I love him. We have been to swim team every morning, Red Lobster, the dump, the movies to watch Avengers, Wal-Mart. This guy even went with me to a Girl's Night Out. He must love me.

Hubs is such a trooper. He took the kids up north....even with half of them sick and complaining of tummy aches and fire poop. Yeah, he's great. He also got the winshield and the lights replaced on our van. Don't you love having to fix up your car so that you won't get a ticket in another state.

Yeah, that's how we roll.

Yeah, I miss them.

Besides feeling a little out of sorts, and missing my family, I think I may just enjoy a few mornings to sleep in next week.

That's all I've got.
